I grew up in a small North Carolina town in a family of engineers and mathematicians. I never considered myself cut out for a career in STEM, and enrolled in culinary school with dreams to eventually open a bakery. While I still love to cook and bake, I realized that culinary was not a path I wanted to pursue professionally.
With an ultimate goal of owning a business of some kind, I spent my early twenties working towards a degree in entrepreneurship and innovation from Western Carolina University.
In June of 2022, I started working for Hannah Brown of Deep River Mercantile. This job encapsulated all of my loves, and gave me a new one: interior design. Since becoming the manager of our little home store, I have honed my trade skills and developed an eye for interiors.
I spend my free time swimming, reading, and thrifting.
